Committee of Concerned Elders for Peace within the All Progressives Congress (APC) North-West. In a statement issued through his media aide, Mohammed Umar, Jaji, who also chairs the House Committee on Ecological Funds, described the accusations as “highly mischievous.”
Jaji reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and emphasized his deep respect for Senator Abdulaziz Yari, stating, “I can never disrespect Senator Abdulaziz Yari. He is my boss, and I served under him with the utmost respect. I would never seek to undermine him under any circumstances.”
The statement further clarified that Jaji, representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency of Zamfara, has always been a loyal APC member. He categorically denied the baseless allegations, asserting, “At no point has he attacked the party or disrespected its leaders in any part of Nigeria. His commitment to the APC is steadfast.”
Jaji suggested that the individuals spreading these false claims are politically irrelevant figures in Zamfara, now attempting to damage his reputation due to his increasing influence in the state.
The statement also urged the accusers to cease using Senator Yari’s name for selfish political motives and to allow him to focus on delivering democracy’s benefits to Zamfara. Jaji, a former Director General of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (North-West), reiterated his dedication to the APC’s success and stressed that he would never act against the party’s interests.
Jaji further challenged the accusers to come forward with their identities instead of hiding behind a faceless group. He also accused the person behind the false allegations of being a former PDP member who had previously criticized the APC-led government for allegedly sponsoring insecurity in Zamfara.
Jaji concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the APC and his determination to continue supporting the party’s growth and success in Zamfara and across the country.
