Badmus currently serves as the Special Assistant on Social Events and Public Hearing to the Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.

In a video that has since gone viral, Funke Akindele jokingly suggested that Badmus used public funds to finance her jewellery and accessories. The comment, though lighthearted, sparked reactions online.

Responding to the claim, Badmus firmly stated that her lifestyle is funded solely by her personal income and not by any government resources. She emphasized that all her accessories, including her bags and jewellery, are locally made and purchased with her own money.

In the video, Funke said, “You used all the government money to buy jewellery.”

Badmus replied, “Your money isn’t in my hands, please. I don’t know what you’re talking about. Everything I’m wearing is locally made, and I bought them with my own money.”

Meanwhile, in a separate development, Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo, popularly known as Omoborty, has criticized certain practices within the film industry, particularly actors who fail to support movie promotions after featuring in them.

In a message shared on her Instagram page, Okeowo expressed frustration with actors who participate in films but distance themselves when it is time to promote the project. She described the behaviour as unfair and disrespectful, noting that it undermines the hard work, time, and resources invested by producers.
