While no arrests have been made, Rear Adm. Okeke emphasized that the joint operation, involving the Navy, Army, Air Force, Police, NSCDS, DIA, and others, is committed to preventing the Niger Delta from becoming a sanctuary for criminals. He stressed the collaborative effort and determination to intensify the crackdown on illegal bunkering and pipeline vandalism.

During his visit to the location, Rear Adm. Okeke expressed shock at the findings, revealing the existence of 14 extensive cooking sites, one of which was still active. He noted that the culprits likely abandoned the site upon the arrival of the joint forces.

The OPDS Commander affirmed the commitment to sustaining surveillance and eliminating economic saboteurs in the region. He acknowledged the efforts of his predecessor and credited the swift achievement of the operation within 24 hours, emphasizing the effective execution of their duties.

Addressing criminals in the area, Rear Adm. Okeke urged them to engage in lawful activities, cautioning that those involved in pipeline vandalism and illegal bunkering would not find peace. The OPDS remains dedicated to maintaining a vigilant stance against illicit activities in the region, ensuring the collective success of the mission through teamwork and cooperation among the various security forces involved.
