This approach aligns with the visionary approach of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in tackling the significant challenges related to water supply across both urban and rural settings in the state.

Isah explained, “This program aims to provide free water and sanitation facilities to rural communities throughout the state. Often, we come across video clips circulating on social media that highlight the difficulties faced in rural water supply.

We want to foster collaboration between rural communities and the government. When they encounter such issues, we urge them not to hesitate but to promptly write to the relevant authority.”

He further clarified, “We have already designated departments with the specific purpose of accepting such complaints at Local Government Council Secretariats.

Our intention is to discourage the public from sharing water supply-related matters on social media platforms. Instead, they should document their concerns in writing and submit them to the relevant authorities in their respective Local Government Areas.”

Isah also highlighted the agency’s plans to raise awareness about proper sanitation practices and responsible use of the environment across rural communities.

He stressed the importance of people taking ownership of projects and facilities, emphasizing that community engagement and care are essential for achieving sustainable solutions.

He concluded by revealing that 15 LGAs have been identified as focal points for addressing water issues, with eight LGAs already educated on global best practices for water usage.
