The inauguration ceremony took place at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, administered the oath of office in the presence of President Bola Tinubu.
The ceremony, part of the larger inauguration of 45 confirmed ministers-designate, is being held at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja. Each minister-designate was sworn in based on their state of origin.
This event follows closely after President Bola Tinubu disclosed the portfolios for the ministerial nominees, which included Nyesom Wike as the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Festus Keyamo as the Minister of Aviation.
Among the newly inaugurated ministers are Wale Edun (Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy), Adegboyega Oyetola (Transportation), David Umahi (Works), Festus Keyamo (Aviation and Aerospace Development), and Betta Edu (Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation).
