During an interview with Kano radio stations on Friday, Kwankwaso, a former presidential candidate of the NNPP, expressed confidence that the government would thoroughly reconsider the matter and take appropriate action.

“While no one has directly informed me about this matter, I believe the government will examine the entire issue and make necessary decisions. Whether the present government opts to retain or reconsider the existence of the five emirates, I am uncertain. However, what I am certain of is that the government will indeed revisit this issue,” remarked the senator.

Kwankwaso asserted that the former governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, had divided the emirates as part of his personal political agenda.
