The Lagos State Police Command successfully thwarted an attempted bank robbery that occurred across the street from Maplewood Estate in Oko Oba, Lagos.

The suspects were attempting to breach the security doors of the bank when officers from the state police command arrived at the scene to restore order.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the command, commented on the incident, saying, “We received a distress call at 4:20 am and acted promptly. Ensuring the safety and security of Lagos State remains an unwavering commitment for us.”

In other news, police operatives in Ogun State have arrested a 21-year-old suspected burglar. According to reports from the State Police Command, the suspect had been involved in thefts from the homes of unsuspecting residents in the Itele Awori Local Government Area of the state.

The police further explained that the suspect, Ibrahim Adamu, often posed as a scavenger and would break into people’s homes when they were absent to steal their valuables.

While making the arrest, Adamu’s accomplice, known as Azonto, managed to escape. However, law enforcement agencies have launched a manhunt to apprehend him.
