These individuals have been tasked with causing mayhem and terrorizing the opposition in a desperate attempt to force the emergence of Asue Ighodalo as the next governor of Edo State.

This plan is not a rumor; it is happening now. Opposition figures are being arrested and sent to far-off states on false charges of terrorism, gun-running, and other made-up crimes. Innocent people are being taken from their homes and families to face unfair trials away from Edo State, all to eliminate APC leaders and supporters before the election.

The Obaseki-led government has transformed Edo’s streets into a battleground, focused on silencing opposition voices. A key part of their strategy is to prevent schools from resuming, clearing the streets for their thugs to execute their violent agenda without restraint. Obaseki and his puppet, Asue Ighodalo, are waging an all-out assault on democracy in Edo State, using tactics that are both despicable and dangerous.

Their plan is evident: target APC strongholds, instill fear, and drive people away from the polls. The APC campaign train has already faced relentless attacks in Edo North. In Benin City, these thugs are reportedly preparing to target individuals and disguise their actions as “cult clashes” to obscure the true political motives behind the violence.

The government’s brutality knows no bounds, and this is a full-scale assault on the democratic rights of the people of Edo. Governor Obaseki is weaponizing fear and violence, with Asue Ighodalo fully complicit in this cowardly attempt to rig the electoral process. The people of Edo must not sit by and allow this criminal plot to unfold.
