During a Monday night interview on Channels Television, Sheriff asserted that Tinubu would only fail to win re-election if he either chooses not to contest or if no election is held.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

“I can tell you for free — only two things will stop President Tinubu from winning in 2027. One, if elections are not held in Nigeria. Two, if he decides not to run. Politically speaking, I deal with reality. Politics is a different ball game,” he said.

In a separate conversation on Politics Today, the former PDP National Chairman took a swipe at the African Democratic Congress (ADC), predicting the party would quickly fade into political irrelevance.

Sheriff criticized the ADC as a fragile coalition of individuals with conflicting presidential ambitions, warning that such ambitions will eventually implode the party.

“You said people are mentioning my name as joining the ADC — that’s false. Which ADC? Do they even qualify as a political party? Give them three months; they’ll fade away. Everyone in that party believes they’re presidential material, but only one person can fly the flag.”

He contrasted the ADC with the APC’s solid formation history, emphasizing that APC was born through the merger of influential parties with governors and national structures.

“When we formed APC, about 15 governors were involved. President Tinubu brought in four states, ANPP added five or six, and a faction of the PDP brought four more. Today, we control over 73 Senate seats, the majority in the House, and more than 20 states,” he noted.

Sheriff concluded by dismissing the ADC’s chances, saying:

“They all want to become president at all costs. It’s their right to aspire, but realistically, in politics, they don’t exist. The ADC does not exist.”
