Chukwueze was on target as Fulham rallied from a goal down to defeat Brighton and Hove Albion 2–1, while Manchester City ended their recent slump with a convincing home win against Wolves. Elsewhere, Tottenham Hotspur salvaged a late draw at Burnley, and West Ham United continued their resurgence with an emphatic victory over Sunderland.
Fulham endured a sluggish first half and fell behind in the 28th minute when Yasin Ayari calmly finished after a well-worked assist from Olivier Boscagli. Brighton went into the break in control, having dictated much of the opening period.
The game’s complexion changed shortly after the hour mark when Fulham manager Marco Silva introduced Chukwueze. The Nigerian winger had an instant impact, drawing Fulham level in the 72nd minute with a clinical finish from Joachim Andersen’s pass. Energised by the equaliser, the hosts pushed forward in search of a winner.
Their persistence paid off deep into stoppage time as Harry Wilson kept his nerve to slot home in the 92nd minute, completing a dramatic comeback and handing Fulham all three points.
At the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City returned to winning form with a comfortable victory over struggling Wolves. Despite leaving Erling Haaland and Phil Foden on the bench, Pep Guardiola’s side dominated proceedings from start to finish.
Omar Marmoush opened the scoring early, converting Matheus Nunes’ cross for his first league goal of the season. City doubled their lead just before half-time when Bernardo Silva released Semenyo, who finished confidently from outside the box.
Wolves showed brief signs of resistance late on through Yerson Mosquera, but City remained largely untroubled as they cruised to victory.
Meanwhile, Tottenham were held to a thrilling 2–2 draw by Burnley at Turf Moor. Micky van de Ven put Spurs ahead in the 38th minute before Axel Tuanzebe equalised just before the interval. Burnley then took the lead through Lyle Foster in the 76th minute, but Cristian Romero struck late to earn a point for the visitors.
Earlier in the day, West Ham United delivered one of their strongest performances of the season, cruising past Sunderland to boost their survival hopes.
The Hammers raced into a commanding three-goal lead before half-time, with Crysencio Summerville heading in Jarrod Bowen’s cross, Bowen converting from the penalty spot, and Mateus Fernandes unleashing a stunning long-range strike.
Although Brian Brobbey pulled one back for Sunderland after the break, West Ham remained composed to secure the win, extending their unbeaten run to three matches in all competitions and increasing pressure on teams battling relegation.
