Court documents show that the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) filed an eight-count charge against Adeyemi and two other suspects, identified only as Femi and Anu, on November 27, 2025.

According to the charge sheet, the surnames of the two co-defendants were listed as “unknown,” while both were said to be at large.

The charges were filed by Wisdom Madaki, a prosecuting counsel in the Directorate of Legal Services at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The police alleged that Adeyemi and the two other defendants forged official presidential documents, including letterheaded papers purportedly issued from the Presidency.

They were also accused of producing a forged request for collaboration relating to land acquisition and office allocation across Nigeria’s 36 states, allegedly presented as a document originating from the State House.

The Presidency had earlier disclosed that the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, alerted the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Police Force in October 2025 following complaints that the PFIPC was operating alongside the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC).

According to the Presidency, forged appointment letters allegedly bearing Gbajabiamila’s signature, official reference numbers and government seals were used to give legitimacy to what it described as a non-existent agency.

Adeyemi has denied all allegations, insisting that he acted lawfully and would defend himself in court.

Summary of the Eight Charges

According to the charge sheet, the allegations against Adeyemi and the two other defendants include:

  • Count One: Conspiracy to commit forgery.
  • Count Two: Forging an appointment letter purportedly issued by President Bola Tinubu and signed by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.
  • Count Three: Forging official presidential letterheaded documents.
  • Count Four: Forging a State House request for collaboration on land acquisition and office allocation across the 36 states.
  • Count Five: Allegedly impersonating the Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).
  • Count Six: Forging a request for office accommodation purportedly issued by the State House.
  • Count Seven: Forging a request for approval relating to staff account status, allegedly originating from the State House.
  • Count Eight: Forging a conveyance approval concerning the take-off of the Presidential Economic Advisory Council/Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, purportedly issued from the State House.

The offences are alleged to have been committed between 2024 and 2025 and are said to be punishable under the Miscellaneous Offences Act and the Penal Code.

The case is expected to come up before the Federal High Court in Abuja on July 27, 2027, when Adeyemi is scheduled to take his plea.
