In the midst of eminent Nigerians, friends, and well-wishers, Sunday Igboho, renowned for his activism, orchestrated a memorable three-day funeral event that ensured Mrs. Adeyemo’s farewell would be etched in the memory of all present.

The commemoration commenced with a Christian Wake-Keep at the late matriarch’s residence in Modeke. The gathering featured heartfelt eulogies, creating a lively atmosphere that extended beyond mourning, almost resembling a community carnival.

The following day, a well-attended funeral service unfolded at the Zion Baptist Church in Modete. Reverend Remi Adelakun, leading the service, praised the virtues of Madam Adeyemo, urging attendees to draw inspiration from her exemplary lifestyle. The ceremony included hymns, family members reading Bible passages, and sincere tributes that resonated deeply.

The service concluded with a prayer for the Adeyemo family, led by Reverend Adelakun. Subsequently, Mrs. Adeyemo was laid to rest in the family compound. A splendid reception awaited guests at the Sablak Event Center in Ibadan, offering a feast of continental and local dishes, as well as a selection of beverages.

The entertainment was curated by Tolu Obey, who captivated the audience with melodious tunes. In a brief acknowledgment, Sunday Igboho expressed gratitude to all attendees for honoring his mother’s memory. He also extended appreciation to President Bola Tinubu’s government for granting him the necessary leave to attend his mother’s burial.
