The police spokesman, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, confirmed the incident in a statement to DAILY POST.
According to Shiisu, the authorities received a report that Zahra’u, from Bagata Gabas village in Kiyawa Local Government Area, had teamed up with her 22-year-old ex-lover, Lawan Musa, to poison her 29-year-old husband, Kamisu Haruna.
Following an investigation, it was revealed that Zahra’u had poisoned her husband’s food, which he shared with two of his friends. All three individuals suffered severe stomach pain, with one of the friends dying while receiving treatment.
