Countering her statement, Fani-Kayode argued that Badenoch is merely tolerated in Britain and will eventually be discarded.

He wrote:
“One day, after they’re done using you, the Anglo-Saxons will flush you down the toilet like used tissue paper.
Only then will you realize that Britain was never your home—just a temporary shelter where you were barely accepted, and seen as little more than a plantation slave or cotton-picker.”

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, also criticized Badenoch—this time over her misleading claim that Nigerian law prevents her from passing citizenship to her children due to her gender.

Appearing on Channels Television’s Hard Copy on Friday, Dabiri-Erewa called Badenoch’s statement false and completely inaccurate.

Citing Section 25(1)(c) of the 1999 Nigerian Constitution, she clarified:
“Anyone born outside Nigeria is a citizen by birth if either parent is Nigerian. That’s the law.”

Dabiri-Erewa emphasized that while Nigeria values its diaspora population, it won’t tolerate false narratives that misrepresent the country on global platforms.
