With meeting the administration’s eight-point agenda and has warned that those who do not meet expectations will be removed from their positions. Onanuga also rated the administration’s performance at 70 percent as it approaches its first year in office.

However, Tinubu has tasked the ministers wOnanuga highlighted that under President Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria was initially spending 97 percent of its revenue on debt servicing and borrowing for recurrent expenses like salaries. He noted that the administration took decisive actions to prevent economic collapse, including removing the fuel subsidy and unifying the exchange rate.

During the inauguration of his 48 ministers, advisers, and other aides, President Tinubu urged them to prioritize the government’s urgent goal of lifting Nigeria out of poverty over personal interests. This advice was given at the conclusion of a three-day retreat for ministers, permanent secretaries, presidential aides, and other top government officials at the State House in Abuja last year.

In commemoration of his first anniversary in office, President Tinubu directed his 47 ministers to present their performance reports to Nigerians. This directive was conveyed by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, during a press briefing in Abuja
