Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda Finds Support In Abia State, Otti Says

The governor, speaking at the inauguration of the 9-kilometer Obehie-Okeikpe Road, commended Tinubu and the NDDC management for addressing the challenges faced by road users. Constructed at a cost of N3 billion, the road was lauded for its impact on alleviating the plight of commuters.

Additionally, the governor announced the commencement of the project’s second phase, extending from Akwete to Azumini and Akwa Ibom State. Represented by his deputy, Ikechukwu Emetu, Otti expressed satisfaction with the attention given to the federal road, which had long suffered from neglect.

Acknowledging the infrastructural deficits inherited by his administration, the governor affirmed efforts to transform the landscape in line with Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda. He appealed to NNPC to prioritize the completion of numerous projects across the state, thus easing the burden on the populace.

Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, Managing Director of NDDC, highlighted the project’s completion as a response to the presidential directive urging the commission to finalize all abandoned NDDC projects. He underscored the strategic significance of the road in enhancing economic transformation across Rivers, Abia, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River states.

Emphasizing the commission’s dedication to regional development, Ogbuku reaffirmed NDDC’s commitment to advancing the Niger Delta’s economic landscape.
