Despite the loss, Okoye played the full 90 minutes and made several important saves to keep his team competitive. However, Udinese were eventually breached early in the second half when substitute Nesta Elphege scored in the 51st minute, handing Parma all three points.
The result marked Okoye’s 24th league appearance of the season. He has now conceded 26 goals and kept nine clean sheets in a campaign that has seen Udinese remain in mid-table. The defeat leaves the club in 11th place with 43 points, while Parma move up to 13th on 39 points as the fight for league positioning continues.
Meanwhile in England, Frank Onyeka is set to make a permanent move to Coventry City after the club secured promotion to the Premier League.
Coventry confirmed their return to the English top flight after a 1–1 draw against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Friday night.
Onyeka joined Coventry on loan from Brentford in January, with a clause that made his transfer permanent if the club achieved promotion—an objective now fulfilled.
The midfielder has played an important role in Coventry’s strong finish to the season under manager Frank Lampard, helping stabilize the squad during a crucial period. The club is now preparing for its first Premier League campaign in 25 years.
Since joining, the 28-year-old has made 11 league appearances and scored once, earning a fresh start after limited opportunities at Brentford and a previous loan spell at Augsburg in Germany.
