The Galatasaray forward, who has quickly become a fan favourite in Istanbul, revealed that he listens to tracks by Olamide, Nas, and Damian Marley before kick-off. Speaking on the Smallie YouTube Channel, he explained that the music helps him shift into the competitive focus that has defined his career since childhood.

“Growing up, I always knew football was my path. Most of the time, I listen to Olamide, but I also play Nas and Damian Marley; Strong Will really motivates me before a match. These have become a key part of my rituals,” Osimhen said.

One song, in particular, sets the tone for him. The former Napoli striker noted, “My favourite Olamide track before a game is King Shit: ‘Don’t worry about tomorrow, forget your sorrow, forget about the shoes and clothes you borrowed.’”

Osimhen’s hunger for goals is already evident this season. The 26-year-old scored twice in Galatasaray’s 3-2 victory over Samsunspor on Friday, underlining his significance in the title race.

Beyond his pre-game habits, Osimhen admitted that losing weighs heavily on him. “Losing, to be honest, is very cruel. Whether it’s street football, competitive matches, the World Cup, or the African Cup of Nations… I have never liked losing since I was little. Of course, it’s part of the game, and I have to accept it, but if I could, I would want to win every single match,” he said.

He added that the frustration of defeat often lingers into the night. “People who live with me know that after a loss, it’s very hard for me to sleep. On the pitch, I become a completely different beast,” Osimhen revealed.
