Wike Dares Amaechi: “I’ll Resign As FCT Minister If His Wife Is Cleared In NDDC Audit

Wike declared that he would resign from his position as FCT Minister if the report, once released, does not indict her.

“Amaechi’s wife was never known as an industrialist. Her company received ₦4 billion monthly—₦48 billion in a year—to train Niger Delta women. The forensic audit contains the details. Why was it buried? The former Attorney General, Malami, buried it,” Wike stated.

He continued, “I appeal to Mr. President to release that audit. If what I’ve said is false and the report clears her, I will resign. I do not worship political office.”

Wike clarified that while he doesn’t claim the audit is flawless, the Nigerian public deserves transparency.

“Let Nigerians see the report. That’s how Amaechi’s wife became an ‘industrialist’—₦4 billion every month,” he added.

The forensic audit, commissioned by the Federal Government in 2021, reviewed NDDC’s finances and projects from its inception in 2001 to August 2019, aiming to uncover corruption, fund mismanagement, and irregularities within the commission.
