This recent honor marks the second award Ms. Areola has received in just two weeks. She was previously acknowledged in Ghana for her outstanding efforts in promoting youth empowerment projects, engaging in meaningful discussions, and serving as a voice for the youth in Nigeria and across the African continent. This recognition came during the New Africa Leaders Summit and Honours event in Accra.

Throughout her career, Ms. Areola has been at the forefront of creating opportunities for youth in Nigeria and Africa, particularly focusing on job creation across different regions. In October 2022, she was a key member of the Nigerian Federal Government delegation that led a group of young individuals to Kigali, Rwanda, reinforcing Nigeria’s commitment to bolster entrepreneurship and strengthen youth policies.

Her work contributed to the establishment of a sectoral policy letter centered around citizenship, volunteerism, social cohesion, and employment for young people and women.

Ms. Areola’s determination and leadership also led Nigeria to become a part of YouthConnekt Africa, a prominent youth forum uniting young people from all corners of the African continent. This collaboration solidified the partnership between Nigerian and African youth under the banner of YouthConnektAfrica.

The Jet Age Nation Builders Award underscores Ms. Areola’s dedication to enhancing the lives of Nigerian and African youth, fostering a platform for the exchange of ideas, and facilitating global connectivity.

Expressing her gratitude for the award, Oluwakemi Ann-Melody Areola commended the organization for recognizing her efforts and contributions.

“These recent acknowledgments are truly remarkable. Just a few weeks ago, I received an award in Ghana, and now I am here in Ethiopia to accept another accolade. Moreover, in October, I am scheduled to be a guest speaker and honoree at the DOERs Award hosted by The Africa Chamber of Digital Commerce in Abu Dhabi, UAE. While these achievements seem almost surreal, I remain focused and dedicated, putting in significant effort behind the scenes. This recognition is a testament to the hard work that often goes unnoticed.”
