Timothy Osadolor, the Deputy National Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has urged the party’s leaders to prioritize the collective interest of the party over personal agendas in preparation for the 2027 elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Osadolor emphasized that winning the 2027 presidency is not a complex task, but it requires the party to unite and function cohesively. He called on former PDP leaders, including ex-presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Goodluck Jonathan, state governors, and other key figures, to return fully to the party and offer their support.

In an interview with Daily Independent published on Monday and monitored by Naija News, Osadolor stated that if PDP stakeholders come together, the party can regain its dominance in Nigeria’s political landscape.

He said, “Winning the presidency is not rocket science. What’s needed is the trust and mandate of the people, under the grace of God. I call on key power blocs within the party and our esteemed leaders, including Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo and former President Goodluck Jonathan, to return and assume their rightful positions within the PDP.”

He continued, “I also urge the PDP’s 2019 and 2023 presidential candidate, H.E Atiku Abubakar, to step forward and provide leadership. Party politics and ambitions go hand in hand. This relationship can’t be nurtured every four years—it requires continuous communication, watering, and availability.”

Osadolor also encouraged PDP governors to offer support to the party as a whole, rather than backing individual friends within the National Working Committee (NWC).

Regarding the conflict between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and the PDP, Osadolor appealed for reconciliation, stressing that Wike remains a valuable asset to the party. He warned that sidelining Wike would turn him into a significant liability.

“I would be wrong not to appeal to Gov. Wike to set aside his grievances for the sake of peace and bring his charisma to work for PDP. No one should fool themselves into thinking they can dismiss an asset like Wike. If they do, he becomes a liability. We’ve learned valuable lessons from the past, and now is the time to heal and regroup. PDP needs its pathfinders, and Sen. Iyorchia Ayu and Attahiru Bafarawa are among those essential to this effort,” Osadolor said.
