Former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Audu Sule Katagum, has passed away at the age of 69.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Katagum, who served in office between 2018 and 2019 under former Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, reportedly died in the early hours of Saturday.

His death was confirmed by Shamsuddeen Lukman Abubakar, a digital and creative media aide to the former governor.

“Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Arch. Audu Sule Katagum, Wazirin Katagum and former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State,” he stated.

According to him, the former deputy governor died after a life devoted to public service, community development, and national contribution.

He added that details of the funeral arrangements would be announced in due course.

“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family and loved ones the strength to bear this irreparable loss,” he prayed.

A respected politician and traditional titleholder, Katagum held the prestigious title of Wazirin Katagum and was widely regarded for his influence in both political and traditional institutions.

Before becoming deputy governor, he served as Chief of Staff at the Bauchi State Government House.

He was the son of the late elder statesman, Alhaji Sule Katagum, Nigeria’s first Chairman of the Federal Public Service Commission, who also held the traditional title of Wazirin Katagum.

He is survived by his wife, children, and extended family.

His passing has been described as a significant loss to the Katagum Emirate and Bauchi State, where he was respected for his decades of public service and community leadership.
