Drogba, who witnessed Ivory Coast’s 1-0 win against Congo at the Olympic Stadium of Ebimpé, was captured celebrating by running, jumping up, and punching the air after the final whistle.
The former Chelsea star shared a video of his celebration on his Instagram account after the match, accompanied by the caption “we are in the final,” alongside Ivory Coast’s national flag.
In the encounter, Sébastien Haller’s second-half goal secured Ivory Coast’s spot in the AFCON final, where they will face Nigeria’s Super Eagles on Sunday.
Earlier, Nigeria emerged victorious over South Africa in the other semi-final clash.
Notably, Nigeria had previously defeated Ivory Coast 1-0 during the group stage of the competition
