Bloodshed In Osun: Couple Arrested After Husband Stabs Prominent Bishop To Death

Yemisi Opalola, the police spokesperson, confirmed that the tragic incident occurred on Thursday at the wife’s residence. Reports suggest that the couple had been living separately due to ongoing marital issues, and the deceased bishop had been mediating their disputes prior to the separation.

Opalola stated, “We received information that the pastor was at the woman’s house when the husband arrived. It is said that the husband stabbed the pastor multiple times, leading to his death. It is suspected that the husband believed the pastor was having an affair with his wife.”

Sources claim the husband suspected the bishop of an affair with his wife, as the clergyman was reportedly in the woman’s bedroom when the confrontation took place.

The police have initiated an investigation into the incident and assured the public that justice will be served. The couple remains in police custody as authorities continue to investigate the details of the case.
