The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. (NNPCL) has issued a promising declaration regarding the ongoing fuel scarcity, stating that the persistent queues at fuel stations will dissipate by Wednesday.

In Lagos on Tuesday, Olufemi Soneye, the Chief Communications Officer of NNPCL, relayed this assurance to the News Agency of Nigeria.

He explained, “Regrettably, we encountered a three-day disruption in distribution due to logistical challenges, which have now been resolved.”

“Nevertheless, as is customary, overcoming such disruptions typically requires twice the usual duration to restore normal operations,” he added.

Soneye also highlighted concerns about certain entities exploiting the situation to capitalize on increased profits, despite the recent minimal scarcity of fuel.

Fortunately, he reassured, “The queues will be cleared by today or tomorrow.”
