In a statement issued by his press secretary, Alli Ibrahim, on Tuesday, Oluwo emphasized that this cooperative approach has played a crucial role in mitigating insecurity in the country.
The monarch noted that the inter-agency collaboration has facilitated intelligence gathering and the dissemination of information among the military forces. He expressed optimism that, with the enhanced understanding among the personnel at the frontline, there would be a significant reduction in insecurity in the coming months.
The statement conveyed, “Nigeria’s security architecture has markedly improved, evident in the reduction of terrorism and banditry. This positive development is closely linked to the appointment of competent individuals as security chiefs. The synergy and inter-agency collaboration, particularly in intelligence gathering and information dissemination, have been instrumental in addressing insecurity.

“Recently, I witnessed the presence of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, in Sokoto to celebrate Christmas with troops of the operation Hadarin Daji at Gingiya Barracks. The approach adopted by these chiefs in tackling insecurity is commendable, reflecting readiness, dedication, commitment, and loyalty to the nation. I doubt if we have ever witnessed such a remarkable demonstration. The morale is high, and they deserve our prayers, commendation, and unwavering support.”
The Oluwo of Iwo also appealed to Nigerians to actively support the security forces in intelligence gathering by providing valuable information to prevent attacks. Furthermore, he urged the government to enhance welfare packages for security operatives, ensuring their morale remains high.
