Adeyanju, in a post on X, argued that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar stands a better chance at the presidency than Obi, regardless of any shift in strategy by his supporters.

According to him, the Obidient Movement has lost momentum, and even a complete change of approach would not alter Obi’s fate.

He wrote:
“Even if Obidients change strategy and become born again, stop political extremism and insulting people online, their candidate cannot be president of Nigeria. It’s too late already. Even Atiku has a better chance at the presidency than Obi. That’s how bad his chances are.”

Meanwhile, Peter Obi has criticised the federal government’s plan to construct bus terminals in each of the six geopolitical zones at a cost of ₦142 billion.

Obi described the project as a misplaced priority, stressing that such funds should be directed towards urgent sectors that directly improve the lives of citizens.

He noted that prudent use of scarce national resources could determine the success or failure of any administration.

The project was recently approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC), but Obi maintained that it was a tragic irony for such heavy spending to be approved in a nation grappling with poverty and dilapidated infrastructure.
