Drama Unfolds! Senate Blasts Natasha Akpoti, Accuses Her Of ‘Skit Making’ After Forceful Return Attempt (Video)
The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, has dismissed Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s attempt to resume plenary on Tuesday, July 22, as nothing more than “skit making and content creation.”....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Akpoti-Uduaghan, who was handed a six-month suspension following a clash with Senate President Godswill Akpabio and her subsequent sexual harassment allegation against him, arrived at the National Assembly complex claiming an Abuja court had deemed her suspension excessive and ordered her recall.
Despite the court ruling, she was barred from entering the complex.
Speaking in an interview with Channels TV on the same day, Adaramodu argued that it was not within Natasha’s purview to enforce a court order personally.
“The National Assembly plays a significant role—we are lawmakers, not spectators for what now resembles skit making and content creation,” he said.
Adaramodu continued, “From the start, I’ve viewed this whole drama as a content-creation effort. Now, it seems to be evolving into a full-blown series. We are legislators, not actors—we’re not here for theatrics.”
He emphasized that even when a court issues a judgment, enforcement is never left to the litigant but is carried out through proper legal channels, such as court bailiffs.
“I believe Nigerians can see that this is just another episode in Senator Natasha’s ongoing skit-making campaign,” he added.
