Eyewitnesses Report March 14 Killers In Military Fatigues In Okuama....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

A witness to the tragic events of March 14th in Okuama, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, recounted a harrowing tale of gunmen arriving by speedboat from the Bomadi axis, donned in military camouflage, and launching a sudden attack on both soldiers and villagers along the riverside. Speaking exclusively to Vanguard, the witness, a native of Okuama, described how the soldiers initially sought the community chairman, engaging in a tense confrontation that escalated into gunfire when the villagers resisted. Amidst the chaos, the witness, unable to identify the assailants due to their military attire, fled with her children and others into the bush to escape the violence.

The witness expressed anguish over the uncertainty surrounding the fate of loved ones, with some missing since the ordeal began. Stranded in the bush since March 14th, she lamented the loss of livelihoods and the daily struggle for survival without adequate food or medical supplies. With her family scattered and in disarray, she voiced despair over the inability to ascertain the well-being of her children amidst the turmoil.

Additionally, a speedboat driver involved in the military operation recounted the tense moments leading up to the violence, including an eerie encounter with individuals performing rituals on the waterfront before chaos ensued. Despite efforts to start the engines, the driver attributed the mechanical failure to the ominous events preceding the attack. In a bid to escape the onslaught, he plunged into the river, eventually being rescued by another boat after witnessing soldiers’ guns malfunctioning amidst the gunfire.

Moreover, an insider revealed details of a subsequent military mobilization from Agbarho to Okuama, aimed at negotiating the release of hostages reportedly taken during the confrontation. However, it was discovered that soldiers from Agbarho were deceived and targeted, leading to further casualties and escalating tensions in the region.
