The Big Brother Naija Season 4 winner revealed in an interview that she feels mentally and financially prepared to raise a child on her own.

According to the 33-year-old media personality, she is now at a point in her life where she would go ahead and have a baby even without being married.

Mercy noted that societal criticism of single motherhood rarely affects women who are financially stable. She explained that her years of hard work have placed her in a position where she can comfortably care for herself and her future children, adding that the stigma often targets women who are struggling financially.

She further stated that marriage is not a priority at the moment because she has yet to meet a partner who fits her standards.

In her words: “I’m ready to have a child outside marriage… At this point, if I get pregnant now, I’m just going to have my baby.

“I have worked so hard, and I believe I can take care of myself and three kids. What people don’t know is that the stigma of having kids without a father mostly applies to those who don’t have things going well for them.
