In a tweet on Tuesday, El-Rufai delved into the concept of lies and their consequences. Drawing from the wisdom of Nobel Literature Laureate V.S. Naipaul, he conveyed that the lies that truly lead to punishment are the ones individuals tell themselves.

He stated, “TUESDAY REMINDER: ‘The only lies for which we are truly punished are those we tell ourselves.’ ― V.S. Naipaul, Nobel Literature Laureate.”
