The Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, has refuted claims suggesting his administration allocated N6 billion for the Ramadan Feeding Programme in the state. Addressing the issue through his official channels, Governor Yusuf clarified that the actual budget for the program is significantly lower, standing at N1.197 billion for the entire month.

In a statement, Governor Yusuf emphasized, “I’ve noticed recent media speculations regarding our government allegedly setting aside six billion naira for the Ramadan Feeding Program. I want to make it clear that the confirmed budgetary allocation is N1.197 billion.” He urged the media to verify information from credible sources rather than relying on speculative figures.

Recently, Governor Yusuf visited several distribution centers overseeing the provision of food to those in need during Ramadan. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the performance of those responsible for food distribution and ensure adherence to guidelines.

During the inspection, Governor Yusuf expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of food preparation and distribution methods, indicating a need for improvement in these areas.
