The Kaduna State Police Command has announced the arrest of a notorious kidnapper who had been terrorizing residents in the Ikara Local Government Area. Hassan revealed that an AK-47 rifle and 27 rounds of ammunition were recovered from Abdulrahman in Karshi. During interrogation, the suspect confessed to involvement in several kidnappings within the Ikara Local Government Area. The police are continuing their investigation, and Abdulrahman will face prosecution once preliminary inquiries are concluded.

In another incident, Malam Mohammed has reported that his son, Ismail Mohammed, was killed by soldiers in Samaru Zaria on Tuesday. Mohammed claimed that soldiers followed his son home, shot him through a locked door while he was trying to seek safety inside. He learned of his son’s death an hour after the incident.

The Nigerian Army has pledged to investigate the shooting. Maj.-Gen. MLD Saraso, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 1 Division, Nigerian Army, visited the family and addressed the community, assuring a thorough probe into the matter. He invited any community members with relevant information to come forward and urged for peace and adherence to the law.
