The death of Australian actor and martial artist Richard Norton has been linked to an injection containing unapproved peptides, following findings by a coroner in Melbourne.

Norton, who was 75, died on March 30, 2025, after suffering cardiac arrest. According to findings contained in the coroner’s report, the injection triggered a severe allergic reaction that eventually led to his death.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the coroner’s investigation established that the substance administered by the actor caused an anaphylactic reaction, a severe and potentially life-threatening allergic response, which resulted in cardiac arrest.

The report revealed that Norton had obtained a prescription for the peptide combination, which was reportedly intended for anti-ageing purposes. However, investigators found that he administered a quantity exceeding the prescribed dosage.

The coroner reportedly described the incident as the first known death in Australia believed to have been linked to peptide use.

Norton enjoyed a lengthy career in the entertainment industry, gaining recognition for his work as both an actor and martial artist. Throughout his career, he appeared alongside several prominent Hollywood stars, including Chuck Norris, Jackie Chan, Margot Robbie, Ben Affleck, Scarlett Johansson, Charlize Theron and Liam Neeson.

His contributions to action films and martial arts earned him recognition among audiences across different generations.

The late actor is survived by his wife, actress Judy Green.
