I’ll Fully Cooperate’: Justice Tsoho Speaks Out On Controversial CCB Summons

The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Justice John Tsoho, has assured that he is prepared to cooperate fully with the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) regarding ongoing inquiries into his asset declaration.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a statement released on Monday by Dr. Catherine Oby Christopher, Director of Information at the Federal High Court, Justice Tsoho emphasized his commitment to transparency in the matter.

Earlier reports indicated that the CCB had summoned Justice Tsoho to provide explanations concerning allegedly undeclared bank accounts. However, he was unable to attend the initially scheduled appearances.

The statement, titled: “RE: CHIEF JUDGE’S REPRESENTATION AND PROPOSED DATE FOR APPEARANCE BEFORE THE CODE OF CONDUCT BUREAU,” confirmed that Justice Tsoho remains “fully committed to cooperating with the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) in respect of its invitation.”

It also noted that the Chief Judge is currently abroad for medical reasons but is willing to comply with the CCB’s invitation upon his return.

In line with his constitutional right to legal representation, Justice Tsoho will be accompanied by his counsel, Kanu Godwin Agabi (SAN), who has also expressed readiness to accompany him to the Bureau once the Chief Judge returns to Nigeria.

The CCB has been informed that Justice Tsoho will be available for the week commencing Monday, 16 March 2026, at a date convenient for both him and his legal team.

The Chief Judge reiterated his dedication to due process, transparency, and adherence to the rule of law.

Earlier reports from Premium Times suggested that Justice Tsoho’s asset declaration form submitted on 29 April 2024 allegedly omitted several bank accounts, including both naira and foreign currency accounts.
