The statement disclosed that the NAFDAC Director-General communicated this position at the 2024 training session for Ports Inspection Directorate Priority Clients on the Ports Inspection Data Capture and Risk Management System (PIDCARMS) platform.

The NAFDAC boss, represented by the Director of Ports Inspection Directorate, Dr. Abimbola Adegboye, underscored the necessity for industry stakeholders to demonstrate proficiency in utilizing the PIDCARMS platform, developed by NAFDAC to facilitate smooth business operations.

Adeyeye emphasized the significance of the training on port clearance procedures using PIDCARMS for stakeholders and priority clients. The aim is to provide valuable insights and guidance on the optimized PIDCARMS, ensuring efficient and seamless port clearance procedures for valued stakeholders and Priority Clients.

The Director-General highlighted that the agency’s participation in the training reflects its commitment to staying updated on technological advancements and industry best practices. She clarified that membership in the Priority Client Platform is not automatic, requiring operators to demonstrate commitment and adherence to ethical standards to enjoy benefits such as 24-hour attention on the platform.
