Wike asserted that those attempting to unite against him and conspire to bring him down would ultimately meet failure. During his visit to his ally and former Rivers Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Felix Obuah, at his residence in Omoku, Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area, Wike pointed out that previous attempts by adversaries to undermine him had proven futile.
Wike stated, “Anyone whom God has exalted cannot be brought down. Regardless of their numbers or the multitude of meetings they convene, they will not succeed. It’s not just about today. People may praise Wike, acknowledging his contributions, but the very next day, there’s an attempt to bring him down. It won’t work. I cannot be brought down.”
Despite acknowledging that he may not be the most intelligent or attractive person, Wike attributed his position to the will of God. He cautioned those investing time in plotting against him, emphasizing that such efforts would backfire, stating, “If you are wasting your time plotting against me, you are essentially plotting against yourself. Look into the history of those who conspired before and see what became of them. They all failed. It takes a person of character to succeed.
