According to Hundeyin, the stolen solar panels were intended to power streetlights in the vicinity. It was revealed that Achogwu, initially contracted as one of the technicians responsible for installing the panels in the area, later engaged in the act of vandalizing and stealing them.
Hundeyin shared details of the incident, stating, “Recently, #followlasg had installed some solar-powered streetlights in some parts of the state. A few weeks later, the solar panels were stolen. The police were informed and took swift action. Subsequently, 30-year-old Emmanuel Achogwu was apprehended by officers from Alausa Division on Ikosi Road with four solar panels, shortly after removing them.”
