The court ruling had nullified the election of the duly elected senator, paving the way for Lalong to assume the position. In response to this development, Daniel Bwala, a member of the PDP, shared his thoughts on the situation, suggesting that Lalong’s decision to move to the senate was a smart move to ensure longevity in his political career.

Bwala noted that serving as the Minister of Labour in the current circumstances would pose challenges, given the strained relationship between the Labour Union and the government. He speculated that whoever takes up the role might face significant opposition and could become the first minister to be fired for perceived non-performance.
