Marketers Speak On Fresh Price Of Fuel As FG Begins Emergency Supply....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Petroleum marketers in Nigeria have confirmed a forthcoming ease in fuel accessibility and a reduction in prices at filling stations nationwide. Rather than the previous rates of N700 to N750 per litre, consumers can expect a more affordable purchase experience.

This optimistic development was disclosed in conversations with Legit by representatives of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), including its national secretary, James Tor. Tor emphasized that the persistent queues at filling stations would soon dissipate, attributing this positive shift to federal government intervention in addressing logistical challenges.

Reports from Naija News indicate that the federal government has initiated a 15-day emergency fuel supply operation to combat ongoing scarcity and price hikes. This emergency measure aims to ensure a consistent circulation of fuel across the country.

Speaking to reporters, Tor highlighted the improved situation at fuel stations, affirming the availability of products and ongoing sales. He credited the government for its efforts, noting initiatives such as the opening of NNPC depots to bolster product distribution.

Moreover, the Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria reported the receipt of 300 million litres of fuel from eight vessels in Apapa within the current week. Additionally, Ayo Cardoso, the South-West Regional Coordinator of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, disclosed the offloading of at least 325 million litres of fuel between April 29 and April 30.
