Emphasizing the potential dangers of verbal conflicts, the minister stressed that keeping silent during disputes can prevent physical assault and contribute to a peaceful household. Uju appealed to women not to seek trouble, both within and outside their homes, as she believed that a peaceful home is a significant contribution a woman can make to society.

Uju advised women to exercise restraint by keeping their mouths shut, highlighting that responding to verbal attacks may lead to undesirable consequences, including injury or death. She urged women to act wisely and avoid escalating conflicts, emphasizing that silence does not make them fools but wise individuals.

The minister acknowledged that maintaining composure during heated moments could lead to positive outcomes. She suggested that if a man is genuinely remorseful, he would eventually apologize. However, if he does not, she encouraged women to ignore such behavior and focus on their own goals and well-being.

Expressing concern about gender and sexual-based offenses, Uju called for the implementation of a law that would establish a mobile court to address such issues promptly. She announced her intention, along with other commissioners, to lead a protest to the office of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the federation to advocate for the signing of this crucial law.
