Dalori stepped into the role following the resignation of former National Chairman and ex-Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.
The critical NWC meeting took place at the APC National Secretariat on Blantyre Street in Abuja and marked Dalori’s inaugural engagement in his new leadership capacity.
Monday’s session, which began earlier in the day, is expected to focus on the party’s internal restructuring and strategies ahead of the 2027 general elections, amid intensifying political shifts.
In attendance were top-ranking party officials, including National Secretary Senator Ajibola Basiru, National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka, and other senior APC administrators.
Meanwhile, the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) faction within the APC has begun lobbying to fill the chairmanship vacancy, citing fairness and equity.
Sources within the CPC bloc told Daily Trust that the group is advocating for one of its own to take over, with the North Central APC Forum endorsing Senator Tanko Al-Makura, former Nasarawa State Governor and the sole CPC governor from 2011 to 2019, as a suitable successor to Ganduje.
