Speaking on behalf of the Osun NURTW Central Working Committee (CWC), Acting Chairman Kazeem Oyewale criticized the treatment of union members under Adeleke’s administration since he took office. He emphasized that the union would work tirelessly to support the return of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to power.

Oyewale highlighted that Adeleke’s government dismissed union members and replaced their roles with a Park Manager system, causing significant job losses. While he acknowledged the union’s non-partisan stance, he stressed the need to align with a political party that prioritizes the welfare of its members.

“The impact of Adeleke’s government has left many suffering, including our members who were dismissed in 2022,” Oyewale stated. “Anyone who sees such unjust treatment must strive to ensure that those responsible are removed from office. Our members are determined to help oust Adeleke in the upcoming election.”

He noted that the NURTW was effectively disbanded when Adeleke took over, leaving hundreds jobless and without opportunities. “We are committed to regaining our former status and will support the party that acknowledges our contributions. Our position will soon be restored,” he concluded.
