According to a statement from Ado Ekiti on Saturday, Oyebanji spoke in Abuja on Friday following closed-door sessions with various federal ministers and heads of agencies.
His Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, highlighted that Oyebanji engaged with federal ministries including Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Works, and Education, emphasizing the need for greater federal presence and faster development in Ekiti State.
During discussions with the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe, Oyebanji focused on federal initiatives such as livelihood support, conditional cash transfers for women, support for small and medium enterprises, and assistance for persons with disabilities.
“We had a productive meeting that will significantly benefit the people of Ekiti. I commend President Bola Tinubu for appointing a competent leader to oversee this critical ministry. It is instrumental in enhancing livelihoods and providing safety nets for Nigerians,” Oyebanji stated.
The governor also expressed gratitude to Hon. Oyetunji Ojo for facilitating the discussions, which aim to leverage federal programs for the upliftment of Ekiti residents.
Additionally, Oyebanji engaged with the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, and the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, seeking federal support for educational development and infrastructure projects in Ekiti.
These meetings underscore Oyebanji’s commitment to fostering partnerships that drive meaningful progress in Ekiti State.
