Speaking to the media after inaugurating a digital library and other development projects in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, Bamidele, who represents Ekiti Central, emphasized that the Tinubu administration inherited a troubled economy and is actively working to address these persistent problems.

Bamidele urged Nigerians to remain patient and support the government’s efforts. He said, “The current economic situation is concerning, but it’s not a new development. He criticized previous administrations for being dishonest about the economy, mentioning that they resorted to printing money, which contributed to the inflation. In contrast, Bamidele praised the current government for taking steps such as ending oil subsidies and streamlining forex services. He highlighted the administration’s focus on increasing capital expenditure over recurrent spending as a way to stimulate economic growth.

Additionally, Bamidele reported that the parliament passed four executive bills in a single day before going on recess.
