Presidency Claims ‘Peter Obi Is Nigeria’s Donald Trump’ In Fiery Political Comment....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Presidency has drawn a comparison between the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Temitope Ajayi, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Bola Tinubu, made this statement on Wednesday in response to the recent U.S. presidential debate between Democratic candidate Donald Trump and Republican Vice President Kamala Harris, held Tuesday night.

Ajayi criticized Trump’s rhetoric, likening it to Peter Obi’s approach. He suggested that both figures employ highly negative language about the countries they aspire to lead in a bid to gain voter sympathy.

On his X (formerly Twitter) account, Ajayi wrote: “Peter Obi is Nigeria’s version of Donald Trump. Like Obi, Trump resorts to extreme negative epithets to describe the nation he wishes to govern, simply to stir emotions and energize his base.”

Ajayi went on to praise Kamala Harris for her performance in the debate, saying she skillfully handled Trump. “Kamala Harris effectively prosecuted Trump in their first face-to-face debate last night. She convincingly won, leaving no doubt about her competence.”

Ajayi highlighted Harris’s debate strategy, noting that she was aware of Trump’s vulnerabilities and used them to her advantage. “Trump fell into the traps set by Harris,” he said. Fact-checkers scrutinized both candidates’ claims, revealing that while Harris made one incorrect claim during the debate, Trump was responsible for 33 false claims in the 90-minute session.
