In an interview with Channels TV, Chijioke stated, “I’d rather die on the streets than die at home. I cannot sit idly while my son’s future is jeopardized. I may have lost hope for my own future in Nigeria, but I refuse to let my son’s future be wasted.”
Chijioke’s remarks reflect the growing desperation among many Nigerians who have taken to the streets to voice their frustration.
During the protest in Lagos State, Chijioke revealed he traveled alone from Festac to Mile 2 to join the demonstration. He shared how the current economic climate is impacting his family, especially his young, talented son.
“My 13-year-old son is a programmer, but I can’t afford the data for him to advance his skills or pay for his tuition, which costs millions of naira. At just 13, he can already develop video games,” Chijioke explained.
