Stop Listening To Kids Online! Man Slams Grown Men Over Relationship Advice
A marriage and family therapist, Chidi A. Okoroafor, has criticized men who rely on social media for guidance on how to treat women.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Okoroafor expressed concern over what he sees as the declining quality of men, attributing it to the influence of advice men take from other men online. He particularly condemned married men who seek relationship guidance from young, single men on social media.
He also urged single women to carefully vet potential partners, warning them against marrying confused or directionless men. Okoroafor concluded by expressing gratitude that his own sons are not influenced by men who disrespect women online.
In his statement, he wrote:
*”My followers keep tagging me about the so-called ‘Ubiam University’ or ‘Gehgeh University.’ I’ve deliberately avoided engaging because it’s a waste of energy. The state of men in Nigeria is troubling. Men are supposed to be logical thinkers, yet some act foolishly, taking advice from boys their son’s age about women. What could they possibly know about relationships?
“Someone shared a video of a boy saying, ‘Don’t take financial responsibility for any woman, not even your wife.’ Advice like this worries me—it’s contributing to the declining quality of men. Many men today have nothing to offer beyond money, and some don’t even have that. No wonder some women hesitate to marry.
“Society wrongly equates manhood with money alone, neglecting character. Many men have no direction, yet they give relationship advice, ignoring their own failures as fathers or husbands. Some are even financially dependent on their wives.
“My advice to single women: as you build careers, skills, and independence, don’t settle for confused men taking lessons from confused boys. The blind cannot lead the blind.
“Personally, I will never pay attention to the nonsense of Gehgeh University. Thankfully, my older sons focus on learning from successful couples like Alex Hormozi and his wife, not from a boy still struggling with life basics.”*
He highlighted the need for men to grow in responsibility, character, and understanding, rather than blindly following misguided advice online.
