In a statement on Saturday morning, TCN’s General Manager of Public Affairs, Mrs. Ndidi Mbah, disclosed that the outages are necessary to facilitate maintenance work on transmission lines, ensuring improved service delivery.

On Saturday, December 28, 2024, Gwagwalada and its environs will experience a power outage from 9 am to 1 pm while engineers carry out maintenance on a 60MVA power transformer and associated switchgear at the Gwagwalada 330/132/33kV Transmission Substation.

Similarly, on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 9 am to 1 pm, maintenance will be conducted on a transformer at the Kukwaba 132/33kV Transmission Substation. Areas affected include Wuye, EFCC, Federal Medical Centre, Coca-Cola, Idu Railway Station, Citec, and Life Camp.

Mrs. Mbah appealed for understanding from customers in the affected areas, emphasizing the importance of the maintenance work for optimal equipment performance.
