Tems secured the award with her hit song “Love Me JeJe”, surpassing strong competition from Burna Boy, Asake, and Wizkid for their joint track “MMS,” as well as Yemi Alade and the Davido & Lojay-assisted “Sensational” by Chris Brown.
This latest achievement marks Tems’ second Grammy win, further solidifying her place as a global Afrobeats sensation.
Since 2020, she has consistently released hit songs and collaborated with international superstars like Drake, Rihanna, and Beyoncé.
At the 2025 Grammys, Tems was the most-nominated African artist, earning nods in three categories: Best African Music Performance, Best Global Music Album, and Best R&B Song.
In 2024, she released her debut studio album, “Born in the Wild,” with “Love Me JeJe” standing out as one of its biggest hits.
